Summer Sailing On Pelican

Hello Pelican supporters, friends and innocent bystanders, we need you. Come sailing with us. Help us to continue the environmental, science and social projects we have run since 2004.

Pelican 1 will be in Melbourne throughout December and early January. We are having a fund raising drive and all you need to do to help is come sailing and bring your friends.

Only $50 full, and $30 concession/children for a 3 hour sail on Port Phillip Bay. Minimum of 20 people, (max capacity 40). If you cant manage 20 call us and we'll match you up with someone else.

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays up to Christmas are open to groups of any size. Book now. Have your end of year party on the water or just come for a quiet sail.

It has been a rough year for Pelican with the loss of Ken McKechnie, a key supporter for many years and Peter Malcolm, one of our core project team. The financial crisis saw the withdrawal of the ANZ Bank as key sponsor for the Hope Vale Pelican Project.

However we are anticipating a strong year in 2010 kicking off with the Two Bays Project in Port Phillip and Westernport on Jan 9 . We also have some very good projects in planning that we hope will take us right round Australia, back to Hope Vale, out into the Coral Sea and may see us working for the first time in NSW with schools and communities on the south coast.

Come along and experience the new improved Pelican (faster and smoother since the hull modifications), catch up with the crew, learn first hand about our up coming work, hoist a sail or just kick back and watch the sunset with a cool drink.

BYO food and drink, bathers/towel, warm jacket and soft, flat, non marking shoes.
